Written by Rudi Wynants, the technician who made it possible for two Q-Music DJs to make their live morning radio show from a tandem bike.
No request is strange enough for Rudi. You want to make radio from a Ferris wheel? Or rather have a flying studio? Rudi takes care of it.

Is the day that children are encouraged to go to school on foot or by bike. Ornelis Vancoillie wanted to give extra
attention to this event and presented the complete morningshow from a tandem bicycle. Thats a scoop. A compact but nevertheless powerfull
radiostudio was installed in a dogtrailer and pulled by the tandem. The wireless live connection was made with a Comrex Access 2USB
Portable 4G Live audio over IP codec.

A morning show like this has a very tight format and it is a very up-tempo program says the technician. Everything must
be in a seamless sequence and of course a proper live connection is very important for that. Delays, for instance the ones you see on
television with foreign live reporters, are not what you want. On TV this is not really a big problem, but with radio a silence of say two
seconds seems like an eternity. When a broadcaster goes on location, normally a satellite vehicle will join them. This is one of the
methods that takes care of a reliable connection, however, since the Q-Music DJs wanted to cover more than 40km with the bike, this really
	was not an option.
That is why a Comrex with dual 4G transceiver was installed inside the dogtrailer of Ornelis Vancoillie. It connected to the different telecom masts along the route without interruptions or noise.
The contribution really went excellent thanks to theComrex Access 2USB Portable 4G Live audio over IP codec.
