Focus on the stream!

The Telos Z/IPStream was developed to process en encode audio, with the sole purpose of streaming audio. Omnia 3 audio processing or better is available in all Z/IPStream products (Omnia 9 processing is available in the Z/IPStream 9X/2 and the R/2).

Many broadcasters give a lot of attention to the FM chain, but the stream is often neglected. That is a shame, as this output has grown to be more important than anything else. Streams are often dismissed with a simple pc and some freeware streaming software. These kind of ‘solutions’ do not have professional audio processing possibilities and offer few possibilities to influence the sound of the stream. Also, they cannot make use of licensed codecs. While more and more listeners rely on streams, this truly is a missed opportunity.

Streaming overview:

Z/IPStream products are fully compliant  with Livewire+ en AES67, the Audio over IP standard. Depending on the model, multiple encoders and adaptive streaming can be made available, with full and professional support. By adding the appropriate metadata, a complete stream can be send to the CDN (Content Delivery Network).

Supported platforms: ICEcast, SHOUTcast, SHOUTcast v2, Adobe Flash Media Server, Wowza, Triton Digital, LimeLight, Akamai, and other popular streaming services.
